NissFest stands as one of the largest all-Nissan gatherings on the West Coast, celebrating everything related to the Nissan brand. From vintage Datsuns to the latest Infinitis, from everyday Sentras to the highly sought-after GT-Rs, NissFest offers a full display of Nissan’s automotive history and innovations. Nismo’s impressive range of vehicles was on full display, with attendees able to explore models that covered all aspects of the brand’s lineup. The vendor area was equally impressive, packed with companies offering parts and upgrades for Nissan enthusiasts.

A highlight of the event was the track day, where drivers took on the infield road course at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California. This coincided with the sixth round of the 2016 Redline Time Attack Series, adding to the excitement for both participants and spectators. It wasn’t just amateurs on the track; Stillen, a key sponsor, showcased their GT-R and introduced their new Radi-Cal brake system by AP Racing. With Steve Millen, a former Nissan factory driver, and his son Kyle present to discuss their brand’s connection to Nissan, the event emphasized Stillen’s deep ties to the marque.

When it comes to importing the coveted JDM GT-R, few know more than International Vehicle Importers, spearheaded by Sean Morris. They specialize in bringing Skylines to the U.S. and ensuring they meet legal requirements. Their booth showcased two iconic R32 GT-Rs, drawing in fans of the brand.

The car show was another major attraction, featuring a diverse array of Nissans from classic Datsuns to modern Infinitis, including many Sentras that proudly took their place among the more celebrated models. Special mentions went to the legendary Sentra SE-R, a car that helped define sport compact performance in the 1990s.

Track events were a major part of the weekend, with 350Zs, 370Zs, G35s, G37s, and GT-Rs all competing to set the fastest times. Standout performers included David Haagsma in his GT-R and Will Wattanawongkiri in his 240SX S13, both dominating their categories. NissFest continues to prove that Nissan’s fanbase is as dedicated as ever, ensuring the brand’s legacy lives on.
