Asian Le Mans Series Thrills in Dubai: Race Results & Highlights

Endurance Racing Returns to Dubai Autodrome

Endurance racing made its much-anticipated return to the Dubai Autodrome for the third and fourth rounds of the Asian Le Mans Series. The races took place on February 8th and 9th, each lasting four hours and featuring three categories of cars: LMP2, LMP3, and GT.

Race 3: Algarve Pro Racing Takes the Win

The competition was fierce in Race 3, with LMP2 drivers piloting the Gibson Oreca 07 and LMP3 competitors behind the wheel of the Nissan Ligier JS P320. After an intense battle, the #25 Algarve Pro Racing car, driven by Michael Jensen, Malthe Jakobsen, and Valerio Rinicella, claimed 1st place overall and the LMP2 class victory.

Following closely behind, the #3 DKR Engineering team secured 2nd place, with drivers Georgios-Periklis Kolovos, Laurents Horr, and Job Van Uitert. #20 Algarve Pro Racing, piloted by Kriton Lentoudis, Olli Caldwell, and Alex Quinn, finished 3rd overall, rounding out the LMP2 podium.

In the LMP3 class, the #26 Bretton Racing team, consisting of Jens Reno Moeller, Griffin Peebles, and Theodor Jensen, took the top spot.

For the GT category, #96 2Seas Motorsport, driving a Mercedes AMG GT EVO 3, secured the class victory, with drivers Anthony McIntosh, Parker Thompson, and Ben Barnicoat.

Race 4: Intensity Rises with Track Incidents

The second day of racing saw even greater intensity, leading to multiple caution periods and a temporary race delay for track repairs.

By the end of the race, the #20 Algarve Pro Racing team improved upon their previous performance, clinching 1st place in LMP2 and overall. The #30 RD Limited team, driven by James Allen, Tristan Vauter, and Fred Poordad, took 2nd place. Meanwhile, the #83 AF Corse team, featuring French drivers Alessio Rovera, François Perrodo, and Mathieu Vaxiviere, secured 3rd place overall.

LMP3 and GT Class Winners

In the LMP3 category, the #15 RLR M Sport team, with Ian Aguilera, Chris Short, and Nick Adcock, emerged victorious.

The GT class victory went to #99 Herberth Motorsport, driving a Porsche 911 GT3 R. The all-German driver lineup of Ralf Bohn, Alfred Renauer, and Robert Renauer secured a well-earned win.
